Osun 2026: APC waives nomination Fee for Women, PWDs

The All Progressives Congress, APC, has approved concessions for women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the build-up to the 2026 Osun State governorship election, granting them free nomination forms as part of efforts to promote inclusion in its internal democratic processes.

According to the schedule of activities and timetable signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, female aspirants and PWDs are required to pay only ₦10 million for the Expression of Interest Form, while the ₦40 million Nomination Form will be issued free of charge. Male aspirants, however, will purchase both forms at a combined fee of ₦50 million.

The APC also announced a 50 percent discount on the nomination fee for youth aspirants aged 25 to 40, in line with its policy of encouraging wider participation in politics.

The sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will commence on November 12 and end on November 26, 2025, while completed forms are to be submitted no later than December 1. Screening of aspirants is scheduled for December 3–4, followed by publication of results on December 5 and appeals on December 6–7.

The party’s governorship primary election will hold on Saturday, December 13, 2025, with appeals on the outcome slated for December 14. Campaigns for the governorship election are expected to kick off on March 11, 2026, ahead of the poll fixed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for August 8, 2026.

Party members aspiring to serve as delegates are also expected to purchase delegate forms at ₦5,000 each, provided they have been financial members of the APC for at least three months before the Congress.
