NCPWD celebrates Ayuba Gufwan at birthday, hails inclusive leadership

The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) has felicitated its Executive Secretary, Hon. Ayuba Burki Gufwan, on the occasion of his birthday, commending his leadership and commitment to disability inclusion in Nigeria.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the management and staff of the Commission praised Gufwan’s visionary leadership and dedication to advancing the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities.

The Commission noted that since assuming office, Gufwan has championed policies and programmes aimed at improving access to education, employment, healthcare, and social protection for persons with disabilities across the country.

It added that under his leadership, the Commission has strengthened partnerships, enhanced service delivery, and increased public awareness on disability rights in line with the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act, 2018.

“We are grateful for your exemplary leadership and the passion you bring to the work of inclusion every day,” the statement read. “Your birthday is an opportunity to celebrate not only your life but also the impact you have made in giving voice and opportunity to millions of Nigerians with disabilities.”

The management wished the Executive Secretary good health, renewed strength, and many more years of service to the nation.
