Eid-el-Fitr: NCPWD boss felicitates Muslims, urges support for PWDs

The Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities, Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan, has congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a goodwill message on Friday, Gufwan commended Muslims for their dedication and steadfastness throughout the holy month, describing Ramadan as a period of sacrifice, discipline, and spiritual renewal.

He urged the faithful to sustain the virtues imbibed during Ramadan, including love, compassion, and generosity, beyond the festive period.

The NCPWD boss also called on Muslims and Nigerians at large to extend support to persons with disabilities, stressing the need to promote inclusivity and care for vulnerable groups in society.

He encouraged acts of kindness towards the needy, noting that such gestures reflect the true essence of the season.

Gufwan further prayed for a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the country, urging citizens to continue to uphold values that foster unity and coexistence.
