Tinubu’s inclusion drive excites disability commission at 74

 



The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to inclusion and the advancement of the rights of persons with disabilities (PWDs) as he marks his 74th birthday.


In a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Ayuba Burki Gufwan, the commission said the President’s leadership and policy direction continue to inspire confidence within the disability community.


The commission noted that Tinubu’s dedication to inclusivity and equity has contributed to ongoing efforts aimed at improving access to opportunities and public services for persons with disabilities across the country.

According to the statement, the President’s passion for social justice and inclusive governance has strengthened advocacy for the rights and welfare of PWDs, while also encouraging institutions to prioritise accessibility and equal participation.


“The commission celebrates your visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to inclusivity, especially in advancing the rights and welfare of persons with disabilities in Nigeria,” the statement read.

It added that Tinubu’s efforts in promoting unity and sustainable development remain critical to building a society where no one is left behind.

The commission prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the President as he steers the nation toward greater progress and national cohesion.
