The National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) has congratulated Dr. Bernard Muhammad Doro on his appointment as the Minister of Humanitarian and Poverty Reduction.
In a statement on November 7, 2025, the Commission described Dr. Doro as a strategic, experienced, and compassionate leader committed to advancing disability inclusion in Nigeria.
Hon. Ayuba Gufwan, Executive Secretary of NCPWD, expressed confidence that Dr. Doro’s leadership would strengthen collaboration, improve humanitarian systems, and drive innovative policies benefiting persons with disabilities across the country.
He added that the disability community looks forward to working closely with the Minister to promote empowerment, protection, and equal participation of persons with disabilities in all areas of life.
The Commission also reaffirmed its support for national efforts on poverty alleviation, social protection, and inclusive community development under the new Ministry.
