NAWOJ FCT Offers Free Cancer Screening for 100 Female Journalists

As part of activities marking International Women’s Day (IWD) 2025, the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), FCT Chapter, has announced a free cancer screening for 100 female journalists in Abuja.

According to a statement from the association, the initiative, themed "Accelerate Action," aligns with NAWOJ FCT’s commitment to promoting women's health and well-being. The screening will be conducted in partnership with the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi-Abuja and will run throughout March on a first come, first served basis.

The Chairperson of NAWOJ FCT, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang, emphasized the importance of early detection in the fight against cancer, urging female journalists to take advantage of the opportunity.

Interested members are encouraged to send their name, phone number, and chapel via private message to the Chairperson or Secretary. The hospital will then contact them directly to schedule an appointment.

NAWOJ FCT reaffirms its dedication to women’s empowerment, health, and inclusivity, calling on stakeholders to support similar initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of women, especially those in high-risk professions.
